If you use our service and make a payment, you acknowledge and agree to the following statements, terms and conditions:

1. Acknowledge that the bus service is provided as a community service by volunteers who act as co-ordinators;

2. Acknowledge that Selective High School Community Transport Association (the Association) is an incorporated association and is a not-for-profit entity;

3. Acknowledge that the Association’s only source of funds is Transport fees paid by the parents on a term-by-term basis and the Association has no line of credit, overdraft facility or equity. This limitation drives our strict no-refund policy.

4. The Association objective is to provide community transport alternative at reasonable cost to students travelling to Selective High Schools in New South Wales (NSW).

5. The Association reserves the right to change the timetable and stop locations in the best interest of all students using its services. This may sometimes result in variation in travel times as compared to the previous term.

6. Acknowledge that the Association has to continuously review its routes, stop locations and travel times from each stop in the interest of keeping the cost down for each parent by keeping enrolment numbers for this transport service close to bus capacity and minimising drop outs each term.

7. Acknowledge that you have read our Terms and Conditions on this page (also included on our invoices) and the Refund Policy below before making the payment and you agree that your payment is subject to our Terms and Conditions and the Refund Policy.

 

REFUND POLICY

Our refund policy is in place to protect all parents and to ensure the continuity of this community service. You agree to our Refund Policy as follows prior to making any payments to use our services (the same policy is included on all our invoices):

​

1. There are strictly no refunds for any change of mind or any change of circumstances (including change of school (of any type) for the student) on customer’s / parent’s part after the payment has been made;

2. While the Association endeavour to minimise changes to the routes, travel times or stop locations, there are no refunds for change in route allocation to your child, bus route timetable, travel time or stop locations;

3. When there is a remaining surplus amount due to bus not in service for all scheduled days in a term because of circumstances out of our control (such as lockdowns, health restrictions, out of term school closures etc.), any unutilised amount will be carried forward and will be applied to next term fees. No refund will be processed if you decide to not continue with this service in the following term.

4. No refund will be processed for any unutilised balance during the term or year. Any such balance will be utilised by applying credit to next term fees or utilisation of these fund for other expenses incurred to run the services.

5. The Association, at its sole discretion, may decide to issue a refund on compassionate grounds. All refunds issued on compassionate grounds will be processed after deducting a 40% administration fee.

 

REFUND POLICY for students starting Year 7, Term 1 in the Penrith Selective School

 

If your child is a Year 6 student at the date of making the payment and the payment has been made on or before 30 Nov, your payment for Year 7, Term 1 is subject to our Refund Policy above with the following exception:

 

We will provide a full refund if your child receives an offer for another Selective High School where he was on reserve when the offer for Penrith Selective High School was received, subject to meeting of all of 4 conditions below:

• Parents notifying us (by email) the reserve offer choices (i.e. Selective school names) at the time of making the payment;

• Parents notifying us (by email) by no later than 15 Dec if a subsequent offer is received from the reserve school choice; and

• Parents providing satisfactory evidence (by email) of the subsequent offer received from the reserve school choice by 15 Dec.

• All communication must be sent to the Association via email only to PHSBusService@gmail.com to avail this exception. Due to limited resources and volunteer nature of our work, communication by any other means (phone, messages or WhatsApp) are not accepted and your refund will not be processed.

This exception does not apply for any payments made to the Association after 30 November or for any offers received from reserve school after 15 December, regardless of any other circumstances.​

This exception is strictly for payments for Term 1, Year 7 only and does not apply for any payments for any subsequent school Term or Year after Term 1 of Year 7. All payments for any other terms / years remains strictly non-refundable.
